Human Rights Cities Institute (IMPC) will support migrant integration in Łódź (Poland) through a Community of Practice as part of EPIC-UP project.
Human Rights Cities Institute has launched a Community of Practice (CoP) to strengthen the integration of migrants. A CoP is a collaborative platform that applies participative approaches to design effective integration strategies, by facilitating knowledge exchange and shared experiences.
Bringing together a diverse network of stakeholders -including public authorities, civil society organisations, migrant associations, NGOs, and researchers- the initiative has already gained the participation of 10 entities. The launch event, hosted by City of Łódź on June 23rd, gathered 15 attendees, highlighting the community’s commitment to fostering inclusion.
The CoP has already identified key challenges and needs in migrant integration, building a database, and establishing a basis for applying design mechanisms integrated into local public policies. By analysing best practices and policies across Europe, the initiative aims to identify priorities, encourage peer-to-peer learning, and ultimately co-design and pilot integration strategies that effectively address both migrant and local needs.
