The Municipality of Sisak as the local public authority of the city, is focused on the needs of its citizens in the affairs related to: social welfare, education, culture, environmental welfare and protection, organization of settlements and housing, physical and urban planning, public utilities, child care, social care, primary health care, physical culture and sports, consumer protection, fire and civil protection, maintenance of public roads. The Municipality of Sisak has a management board consisting of the Mayor and two deputies, and five administrative departments: The Department for Administrative, Property and Legal and General Affairs, The Department of Budget and Finance, The Department of Economy and Communal System, The Department for Education, Culture, Sports and Civil Society and The Department for Physical Planning and Environmental Protection.
